Ipswich striker Finidi George has been given a free transfer. It's the end of the road for Ipswich's Nigerian striker Finidi George , his Ipswich stay has been dogged by injury after injury and as well has his commitments with the National squad getting in the way of his Ipswich duties.

He joined from Mallorca in 2001 and hasn't strung that many games together , he fractured his cheekbone in the first year at Ipswich and with other strikers in form has stuggled to get in the side.

"Finidi is available on a free transfer and negotiations are under way with a number of interested parties." said Ipswich chairman David Sheepshanks speaking to the clubs official site.
