On song Fuller scores twice at Deepdale as he dents Leicesters chances of catching Pompey. Forster the hero has he scores the goal to send darkhorses Reading 4th. C Palace 0 Reading 1 (Forster 39)

Reading leapfrog Wolves and Nottm Forest to go 4th and continue there assualt on the division.

Nicky Forster was the hero for the Royals with the only goal of the game in the 39th minute , Forster low drive from 18 yards was really the only bright spark of the first half but what a spark it was.

Palace were unlucky a few times with Adebola and Shaun Derry both going close but in the end Reading deserved there win.


Preston 2 (Fuller 48,90) Leicester 0

Ricardo Fuller put a dent in Leicesters chance of cutting Pompeys lead at the top , the Deepdale hitman hit to fine goals to send Preston up to 15th and clear of danger at the bottom.

Fullers first goal was bad defending by Gerry Taggart , he allowed the striker to nip in and fire past a stranded Ian Walker , his second was a peach of a goal he danced around 2 defenders and easily nicked the ball past the helpless Walker again.

Leicester had there chances with Dickov having a fierce volley saved that would have made it 1-1 but really in the end Fuller was the differnce in the two sides and got the 3 pionts Preston really needed.
