Football league first division clubs could sensationally quit before christmas according to Paul Scally Gillingham chairman. Paul Scally is reportedly unhappy with the money situation from the football league , the £90 million the three leagues get was distrubuted equally and the Gills chairman was'nt happy about it.

Speaking to the official Gills site Scally said "The problem with the structure at the moment is that Second and Third Division clubs can outvote the First Division clubs,"

"If the First Division clubs cannot make them see sense, then I think it's highly likely...that the First Division clubs will resign from the Football League."
"This would have to be done before Christmas. We have then four months to confirm the resignation." he also added
