Preston look set to complete the signing of Fulham's World Cup midfielder Eddie Lewis. Preston boss made Lewis a target ever since he was given the job in the summer. Earlier this month the deal looked dead after Lewis and Preston failed to agree terms after Fulham had agreed a price.

A deal has now been reached and providing Lewis passes a medical he will become a Preston player as chairman Derek Shaw revealed on the clubs official site. Preston look set to complete the signing of Fulham's World Cup midfielder Eddie Lewis.

"It has taken a while to complete, which may lead to some criticism from the fans, but we feel that we have got the deal that we wanted."
