Ipswich boss George Burley has more or less concedeed that he will lose midfielder Matt Holland. The Scot has admitted that it is likely he will sell Holland, probably to Aston Villa.

Holland's performances in the summers World Cup attracted many suitors but Holland is a man that Villa boss Graham Taylor has had his eye on for a long time.

Ipswich financial situation dictates that they can't afford not to sell Holland. A fact that Burley was more than aware of when speaking to the clubs official site. "Villa have made it clear there is an interest in Matt.

"But they are looking at other players as well and, as yet, there has been no bid and nothing has materialised.

"The reality of the situation, as I have said before, is that we have to listen to offers.

I would love to keep all my players, but in the present financial climate, that is not possible".
