Elvaston 177-9 drew with Lullington Park 122-9

Elvaston batted first and their total included 58 from Paul Birch and 38 from Rob Torry, with Lullington's G Chapman taking 3-36. Howard Dytham made 38 and John Shales was 45 not out as Lullington were reduced to their last pair.

Marehay 119-2 beat Belper Meadows 116 by 8 wickets

Another big win for Marehay, thanks to the contribution of Arif Mehmood who took 6-28 and then joined David Buckley (42 not out) in a third wicket stand which saw Mehmood (29 not out) finish the game with a six. For Belper Peter Brookes made 37

Nutbrook 102-3 beat Morton 100-9 by 8 wickets

This win will have brought some cheer to Nutbrook, and they achieved it in style, thanks to the contribution of Richard Cutts who took 4-24 and scored 47.

Shipley Hall 159-1 beat Stainsby Hall 156 by 9 wickets

Stainsby's total included 60 from Eian Merrilier and 40 from Andy Barlow. Shipley's Harvinder Singh Sodhi stamped his authority on the game by taking 4-44 and scoring 96 not out. He was helped by Neil Cox (3-34) and Stefan Gamble (44 not out).

Spondon 176-7 beat Staveley Welfare 173-5 by 3 wickets

Spondon recovered some pride after their heavy defeat of the day before, but it was a close thing. Staveley's innings was boosted by a sixth wicket stand between John May (88 not out) and David Gray (37 not out), but Spondon scraped home, with Peter Davies making 41 and Joe Ashdown 38. Tim Hoare took 4-30 for Staveley

West Hallam 177-8 beat Selston Town 87 by 90 runs

Wes Essex made 41 in West Hallam's total, with Selston's Gary Staples taking 4-56 and Ian Wood 3-13. Selston were tumbled out by Danny Haddon who took 7-35.

Abbey Glass Division 2

There were some outstanding performances in this division. Sean Green made 105 in Rolleston's big total of 259-4, but they were held to a draw by Allestree. Matt Lineker made 110 for Alfreton out of their score of 248-4. Ian Hopkins of Sandiacre 2nds made 105 not out in their total of 179-9. Tim Carlier made 75 for Little Eaton in their game with Ockbrook 2nds and Nigel Sulley made 95 in the same game which Ockbrook won by 7 wickets.
