Following a string of lacklustre performances, Kevin Blackwell is travelling to Hull with his Leeds United team hoping to pick up a vital 3 points. Having picked up a disappointing 3 points from the previous 12, Kevin Blackwell knows that this is a vital match if he has any hopes of his Leeds United team reaching the 2nd Automatic promotion spot. Three draws and a loss has meant Leeds have missed the opportunity to capitilise on the poor form of Sheffield United of late, however other fortunate results still very much keep the hopes of the team alive and they remin very much in touch with the top. With games running out though, three points today will give a much needed boost to the club and supporters alike.

Leeds have been able to control much of their recent games and look strong defensively however the creativitiy in midfield and scoring ability of the front line remain the concern. Blackwell could choose to field an unchanged side and hope that work done in training, plus a slight change in fortune will yeild the results he needs however there are strong voices for a couple of changes to the side. Hulse anbd Healy, whilst formidable and strong on their day have both failed to impress in recent games and new signing, Jermaine Beckford could find himself thrust into the starting line up only weeks after signing on from non-league side Wealdstone. Beckford scored his first goal for Leeds in the reserves in mid-week. Robbie Blake could also be pushing for a return to the line up after some impressive displays of late.

Although there are limited choices in midfield, many are calling for Pugh to come into the side for Lewis who looks tired and jaded as we enter the end of a long season. If Kevin Blackwell made this change it would be uncharacteristic though and it is more likely that he will look for his midfield to play differnet roles and stick with the same line up.

There are no new injury worries to be concerned about although Gregan has recovered from about of flu midweek and Einarsson is unlikely to figure as he has not trained all week after suffering with the same.
