Leeds travel to second placed Wigan full of confidence after back to back victories. Although Leeds have played more games than any other in the division, they sit just 4 points outside the play offs. Boss Kevin Blackwell is likely to name an unchanged side from the one that beat Reading 3-1 last week. Although Juliam Joachim and Brian Deane are progressing well from injuries, it’s unlikely wither will feature. Also out is Eirik Bakke who has had a minor operation to clean out his knee, and will be sidelined for 3 to 4 weeks. Matthew Kilgallon is pushing hard for a return after recovering from a knock, and will be pushing Clarke Carlisle, but the youngster is expected to stay on the bench. Blackwell has taken the unusual step of not having a reserve keeper on the bench for the last couple of games, and is keen to keep this policy up, as it gives him extra options. Wigan are flying high, and are expected to gain automatic promotion. In Jason Roberts and Nathan Ellington, they have probably the most lethal frontline combination in the Championship, and will need to be watched carefully. Both are quick and strong, although Wigan have ability all over the pitch. The match kicks off at 3.00 and Leeds will be hoping their recent form will see them gain something from Saturdays game…..
