Eddie Gray steps down as Leeds caretaker boss with immediate effect today. Caretaker Kevin Blackwell takes over for the last game. The news isn't a big suprise, but the timing has shocked many Leeds fans. Eddie has seen his beloved Leeds relegated, and due to his lack of coaching qualifications, it always looked likely that he would be moved aside at the end of the season. However, the board has taken the decision today to relieve him of his duties, and had him a 'consultancy role' instead. Surely it would have been better to announce the decision today, and give the travelling Leeds fans the chance to say their goodbyes against Chelsea at the weekend. There is much speculation as to who the next boss will be, with Ian Dowie, Gordon Strachan and Paul Hart amongst the favourites. Coach Kevin Blackwell's name is also in the frame...
