Leeds saw a lot of their recent hard work undone with a poor performance against Wolves, which saw them stuck firmly in the relegation battle. Leeds got the perfect start, Michael Duberry rising well to head home Pennant’s corner. It was the big defenders 2nd goal of the season, and he is looking better with every game. It should have been the springboard for us to take the game by the scruff of the neck, but sadly, that didn’t happen. The home side got back into the game with a stroke of luck. A poor corner came in, but Smith, at the near post, slashed wildly at it, and saw the ball spin over everyone, and into the far corner. It was the break Wolves needed, and they started to dominate the game. Three minutes into the second half, and we were behind, Iverson with a looping header over Robinson. It got worse for Leeds, Matteo sent off for a wild tackle, which rightly saw a second yellow, and the game was practically over. The result was put beyond doubt in the last minute, Camara’s right foot shot hit the post, and rebounded to Iverson to tap into the empty net. We are still firmly in relegation trouble, and Eddie Gray needs to get some points on the board quickly….
