The financial results are expected tomorrow, and the predictions are of quite horrific results. A loss of around £40 million is widely expected, as Leeds struggle to get their finances in shape. There is, however, some good news in all this. It would seem that Prof Mckenzie will get everything out in the open. Debts will be written off, and the figures will include pay offs to people like Venables, Ridsdale and various other directors. These figures reflect performance up to around 4 or 5 months ago. The general opinion is that in those few months since, we have turned things around, and are not running at a loss any more. If that were the case, it would be a fantastic achievement by the Chairman, although we won’t find out exactly what is going on until next year. There is talk that we could get some extra money from shareholders, and there will be many changes made at board level. Whether this will give boss Peter Reid some money for new players remains to be seen, but the long process of turning the club around appears to be just starting…
