We at Unofficial Leeds United are beginning the countdown to what is undoubtedly the game that Leeds fans look for first when the fixtures are announced. Leeds go into the game on the back of a strong performance against Blackburn in their last game, which brought about a much needed victory. Boss Peter Reid will be casting an eye over training this week, as he has a few tough decisions to make. Out of the side from the last game is Jody Morris, who is in the middle of a 14 day suspension following serious allegations made against him. Coming back into the reckoning is Brazillian Roque Junior who missed the Blackburn game through suspension, Ian Harte is still banned. The managers main injury worry at the moment is Mark Viduka who picked up a strain in training, Michael Bridges is standing by for his first start of the season. Reid is expected (assuming Viduka is fit), so bring Seth Johnson in from the left wing to the centre, where he will replace Morris, and recall Lamine Sakho out wide. The bench will comprise of 4 from Lennon, Milner, Duberry, Radebe, Bridges, Roque Junior and Barmby. It could be the last chance for the Elland Road faithful to see Jermaine Pennant in the white shirt as his loan is up after this game. Talks are ongoing between Leeds and Arsenal to try and extend his stay. Manchester United need the points to keep up the battle at the top between themselves, Arsenal and Chelsea. Leeds old boy Rio Ferdinand is expected to play, and is sure to receive a hot reception. Ferdinand missed the England game last Saturday after missing a drugs test, and although he may be charged this week, he would have 14 days to appeal against any ban or fine imposed, so will be available to take his place in the Man Utd back line.
