Leeds have been hit by a rule change that prevents them from signing teenage star Aaron Lennon on to a full contract in April of next year Previously, the age was 17, and players such as Wayne Rooney and James Milner both received a huge wage rise on their 17th birthday. Leeds have put a contract together that has been accepted by the 16 year old, but players must now wait until his 18th birthday. Lennon will be 18 in mid April 2005, and it is expected that he will sign then. He has already found avour with Whites boss Peter Reid, and is seen as an exceptional talent, and is seen by many to be the next big thing. I have been following Lennon since he was 13, and he has been destined for the top since a very early age. He was the youngest player ever to sign a boot deal with Adidas, is the youngest player ever to appear in the Premiership, and few would back against him becoming the youngest ever scorer, and taking the title from team mate Milner.
