Peter Reid will use the International break this weekend to get back to basics on the Training ground. With his position as manager now assured, he and his coaching team can get back to what they are paid to do.. Whilst many of the clubs have players away representing their countries, Leeds only have Robbo and Harte away. Previously we used to lose over half the team, such as Mills (on loan), Kelly (retired), Matteo (retired), Bakke (injured), Smith (unlikely to be picked), Mcphail (loaned out) and Martyn (sold). These two weeks will be a perfect time to work with the French contingent and Roque Junior, and it will be a hectic two weeks the boss, and his assistant Kevin Blackwell.

Chairman Mckenzie has patched up his ‘differences’ with Reid, before flying out to Japan on Leeds business. Reid was quoted in the Sun that he was fine about the job, and wouldn’t be quitting, but made it clear that he had told the Prof that he was far from happy with how the events of last week were conducted in the public eye. Reid had emerged from this debacle with his dignity in tact, and his position as Leeds boss perhaps a little stronger than it was…
