Seems like the Prof can’t win. John Barnwell who is the boss of the manager’s union, has blasted him for not making a decision on his own. What it’s got to do with him is beyond me. If our Chairman had sacked Reid, against the fans wishes, he would have been cast as an idiot. He has tried to include the fans (what a crime), in coming to his decision. He has also consulted the players, and Peter Reid, and come, I believe, to the correct decision. However, what I think is wrong is that this should ever have been up for debate in the first place. I don’t blame Prof McKenzie for this, it is the money men in the city who have no real idea about football, just their investment. They pull a lot of the strings, and McKenzie is a buffer between all parties. The money men are panicing as they see their investment been wiped away. IF we are relegated, the chances are the club would go into administration immediately, effectively wiping out all the shares. Although the club is only currently valued at £10 million, some of the major shareholders will be losing £1 million+, and this is why they have got itchy feet.

It was wrong for this to get out to the media, and put enormous pressure on the Leeds board, and Peter Reid. The opinion poll that ran on this site, had a clear message that Peter Reid was the right man for the job, and most feel he has been shabbily treated. He is not without mistakes, but he shows more passion that half of the players at the moment, and it is with the players that most fans lay the blame.

Reid will lead us out tomorrow, with his head held high, and I hope he gets a good reception from the Elland Road faithfull. Once again we find ourselves in the press for all the wrong reasons, and the last thing we need is more infighting. Reid is the boss, let’s get behind him and the team, and put three vital points on the board come 5.50
