Welcome back Michael Bridges!! Leeds reserves played out a very entertaining game against Liverpool last night, with Michael Bridges scoring on his return with a minute on the clock Liverpool had a cleart chance but shot wide, and barely a minute later Leeds' Chapuis missed the target from a great position. That set the tone for an excellent match. Bridges went close soon after, forcing a fine save, and the ex Sunderland man looked impressive. Just before the half hour, Bridges lob just crosses the line before been acrobatically cleared, and the away side are 1 goal up. Simon Johnson and Aaron Lennon caused problems, although Chapuis was struggling with the pace of the game. In midfield Olembe showed some nice touches, and young Constable at the back impressed all those watching. Bridges came off at half time, to be replaced by McMaster, and shortly after Liverpool equalised through Murphys penalty. It was end to end now, but the game turned in Liverpools favour on the hour mark, when Harte was sent off for a kick off the basll. It was backs to the wall stuff now, and goalkepper Carson was fortunately in sensational form with a string of quality saves. Leeds nearly snatched it at the death when Chapsuis broke away, but his shot was well saved. Man of the match was Carson, but the real thrill of the night was seeing the return of Bridges...
