Smithy ain't going anywhere

Leeds have moved quickly to deny that Alan Smith will be joining Aston Villa or any other club. The denials come as press reports suggested an £8 million deal was almost done As expected, Leeds have moved very wuickly to quash the story that smithy was set to leave Leeds. Another attempt from the London press to unsettle the club on the eve of a new season. It should come as no suprise after all the yeas they have been doing it. Good move from Leeds to get a denial in first thing, and for once, I believe the board. Of all the ridiculous stories that have been in the press this summer, this one was the most far fetched. At a time when we do not need to sell players, and Smithy has once again declared his love of the club, it was really never going to happen. Expect to see Alan Smith in a Leeds shirt on sunday.... and for many years to come
