Leeds have sacked boss Gary McAllister following a poor run of results. Chairman Ken Bates has acted swiftly following yesterdays fifth successive defeat against MK Dons. Bates was in attendance at the game, a rarity for away games, and his presence spoke volumes.
After a good end to last season, and a bright start, the last few months have been tough - with recent form poor. The loss through injury of striker Jermaine Beckford certainly hasn't helped, and Macca can count himself a bit unlucky to be given the boot. That said, with the transfer window due to open in 10 days, Bates has decided that it's now or never, and clearly wants to have a new man in position to bring his own players in.

i think it is good news, now we need to get the right man and take us up, the only thing that worries me ,is the lies ken bates tells us fans. and we are always the last to know.
very disapointing, should have given him money to spend and more time, wonder whether Bates actually watches games because anyone could see the players out there aren't good enough
