Wise leaves Leeds

Leeds United have confirmed the departure of manager, Dennis Wise. The news is a shock to fans who beleive that Leeds were making firm plans and decisions for the long term future of the club. Wise joined from Swindon in October 2006 and will depart before the Southend game tomorrow.

Premiership side, Newcastle are understood to have agree compensation to take Wise north to support newly re-appointed manager, Kevin Keegan although his new role at the club is not confirmed.

Leeds lost Gus Poyet to Tottenham earlier in the season.

So far Leeds United have refused to speculate on a replacement.
