Nicholls asks to leave

Leeds United captain, Keven Nicholls has asked to leave the club in a startling revelation made by Dennis Wise in his post match interview following the Sheffield Wednesday defeat. Wise announced after the match that Nicholls had not featured following an incident in the middle of the week. Apparently Luton Boss Mike Newell contacted Wise on Wednesday night asking if he could take Nicholls back to his former club - a request that Wise rejected. This was followed on Thursday by a meeting between Wise and Nicholls when the captain asked Dennis Wise if he could leave. Dennis Wise expressed his disappointed and suggested that Nicholls stated that he felt he had made the wrong decision and was quiting on the club. Wise made it clear that he would not allow Nicholls to join Luton, rivals in the fight to survive in the championship. It remains uncelar however if Nicholls will feature at all forf Leeds United again.
