Wales captain Gary Speed has said he is happy to remain at his club, Newcastle United despite being linked with a move away from St James' Park. "Family and friends tell me I'm going here and going there," said Speed, who has also captained Newcastle on occasions.

"But I've heard all this sort of speculation about my future before," added the 34-year-old.

"I will remain a Newcastle player until I'm told differently."
