Well, it was painful to watch (On a par with watching every episode of `Birds Of A Feather' back-to-back), but the winning run continues, and we finally broke the away hoodoo. Happy Christmas (Nearly) everybody! Quite whether or not Sky will feature either of these sides again - apart from any matches already scheduled (And they're probably reading the small-print to see if they can cancel those!) - is highly unlikely, as only the most die-hard TV viewer would still have been watching when the final whistle blew! What made this game even worse was the fact I watched it sober!

Comedy dives from Langley and Duffy, were almost as good as the entertainment got, with only "Spot The Commentators Errors" keeping my interest (Which included: Doyle has apparently been "excellent" all season (That's news to me!), and Coventry's midfield was unchanged from their last match (Who scored our winner last time out?)).

The home side went into this match with suffering a striker crisis (Partly helped by Paul Furlong having been sent off twice already this season!), though they did have Lloyd Dyer in their side. While he appears to have got the hang of staying on his feet when the ball comes near, he still hasn't mastered the art of actually doing anything with it - thankfully!

Ainsworth was the pick of the QPR players (Though there wasn't much by way of competition!), and was probably the only player all night to test Fulop (There might have been one or two more efforts, but I was looking without actually taking anything in after around an hour!) - there were more bookings than goal chances (Two-two on the yellow card count, and one-nil to Rangers with the reds!).

Morrell, Hutchinson, and Adebola barely got a kick (With at least two of those named not looking overly bothered when the ball did come near), and Robert Page's hooked effort that just missed the keepers right-hand post being the nearest Coventry came to scoring in open play. A neat touch from Whing in the QPR penalty area was just to long for the same player to get to and trouble the QPR keeper.

Scowcroft replaced the out-of-sorts Adebola on 75 minutes, and, while some supporters could have been forgiven for not believing JS was ever going to be a match-winner (No goals in his last eighteen games!), it was his superb through ball that set up the move that led to the games' only goal.

His pass minutes from the end put McSheffrey through, but with only the keeper to beat, his first touch was poor (Something he later admitted on TV) - or it at least poor enough to give Royce the chance to get near a ball he shouldn't have! Said keeper, recently involved in a disgraceful incident versus Stoke (Where he was attacked by a (Supposed) supporter), quite clearly brought the Coventry youngster down. He complained about being shown a red card, but received little by way of support from his own players.

Bircham took the keepers shirt, before passing it over to Bignot, before debutant Jake Cole came on as a substitute to take Royce's place! The youngster appeared to get a hand to the ball when the spot-kick was finally taken, but he was beaten by the sheer power of the shot.

As well as Royce, QPR supporters moaned about the decision, but it was as blatant as Elton John is gay. There was also the normal whinging from Ian Holloway at the end, though his QPR side never looked like taking all three points.

Those Coventry supporters that have travelled to away matches since March 5th (2005) in the hope of seeing a victory thoroughly deserved this, though sadly, a few pond-life QPR supporters attacked one of the Coventry City coaches on the way home - the third time their supporters have caused trouble in matches against Coventry this season. Banning their fans from the Arena next season seems like a good idea....
