Another week, another .... erm .... seven days has passed. And the "interesting things to write about" as far as Coventry City is/are concerned is as low as ever! 9. With Mickey Adams having signed his contract, and reports suggesting that the majority of the 10 players offered contracts would follow suit, not one of them does. Recent Highfield Road hat-trick hero Dan Viggers (Playing for LAST FC) keeps his fingers crossed that he might yet land one of the strikers places at whichever ground Coventry City play at next season....

8. Micky Adams is reportedly "hunting high and low for bargains in Scandinavia". As long as he's not after alcohol he should be okay. Shocking prices. And a £125 for a meal for three on one of the islands near Stockholm too? MM will have a fit if Mickey Adams is claiming expenses....

7. The classiest right-back in the Championship last season (For the last three months, at least), Richard Duffy, signs up for a year long loan with Coventry City. They say good news comes in threes - still waiting for the other two.

6. Not sure if this counts, but apparently, Dele Adebola has now signed up too, which I only found out while desperately trying to stretch this to nine items, by checking every available website....

5. A local Coventry newspaper reports that Noel Whelan could be in line to make a "sensational" return to Coventry City. "Sensational" would be more the signing of Micheal Owen or David Beckham, rather than somebody not wanted by Millwall or Derby, and recently released by Aberdeen, wouldn't it? Still, we're desperate for a hero. If he comes back to Coventry City and averages a goal a game, the news will be welcomed....

4. Coventry City chief executive Graham Hover is suspended by the club (Better than by the knackers). Sources inside Highfield Road were not quoted as saying: "It's a lot less bother without Hover" (If you don't own a TV, or didn't watch one 10 years ago, this will go right over your head) - though they might have done had they thought of the line....

3. A revelation about as shocking as somebody in a TV soap has a long lost relative, it is finally admitted that the new Arena will be late - around five years late. Coventry City fans are left checking their calendars to make sure it's not April 1st, after it is suggested Villa Park might become our "home" for at least one match*....

2. The delay to the new Arena supposedly means Coventry City will miss out on the chance of a pre-season freindly versus Barcelona. Rumours also suggest the delay will cost Coventry City their wild-card entry into the Champions League too. They say bad news comes in threes too, so expect Trevor Benjamin to turn down the contract offered by Coventry City anyday now....

1. I'm struggling for the ninth (Or No. 1). On the grounds that some people don't seem to like Graham Hover very much, I'll just repeat No. 3 again .... Coventry City chief executive Graham Hover is suspended by the club, until June 15th.

More next week! Possibly. I might be busy washing my hair....

* If it's any consolation to Coventry City fans, when Arsenal moved to their new ground, Highbury, in 1913 (Three years after going into liquidation!), they to couldn't play their first scheduled match due to building work not being completed on time - and look at them now! Eighty-eight years from now, we could be in the top three of English football....
