Please, shed no tears, but .... I regret to inform you that Issue 19 (With Issue 18 free inside!!) of `Cov City Til I Die! Fanzine is the very last one ever - of the paper version at least! All good things must come to an end....

The final version has been put together and I now await delivery from a kindly gent (The term "gent" in no way implies said person is old), having trusted the job of printing it to somebody else (See three paragraphs below for details on why).

Sixty-seven issues after starting, and having written under various different titles (One change being very necessary, after I lost a third of my customers for being massively critical of Dion Dublin leaving for the Villa!), it is time to say "adios".

Just to show how far back it goes, there is a line in the first ever issue saying: "Our find of last season was Andy Pearce" (In my defence, I did drink far more those days!!), and Kevin Drinkell was still a CCFC player - and CCFC were still in the top flight....!!

With the loss of my previous job (Last October, hence the long gap between issues) went the cheap printing that made writing it worthwhile (Not to mention being able to play out just a few copies at a time as necessary), and with another addition to the Wilson household, there isn't quite as much time for such things.

I understand there might be protests, possibly even street marches in a bid to get me to continue, but alas, as it is my intention to retire from REAL work aged 40! Not having to long to go 'til I reach said milestone means it's time to start earning some money - and writing a fanzine isn't the way!

The last issue is 32 fun-filled pages (More pages than usual), but for the same great price, as it is hard enough getting people to part with one shiny pound, let alone raising the price! (I did look into the possibility of doing a gold covered, limited edition issue for £10, but thought better of it - mainly because I thought nobody would buy it....).

For one day only (This Saturday, versus Derby), the fanzine will be available in the fine establishment known as "Roger's Off Licence" (Nicholls Street, behind the West Terrace). It will also be available in The Oak (Next door to Gringo's just under the ring road, NOT The Binley Oak!!) after the match - but this is NOT why I'm trying to get as many people as possible to join us there!! - and against Crewe if there are any left (Sadly, this is very likely!).

With Roger's Off Licence not part of the make-up of the new ground, my only outlet for selling will be gone (As I have never been able to find matchday sellers), and there are not enough subscribers to justify continuing (Though there probably would have been had everybody that said they would subscribe, did! (Fanzines in the post to the lovely few that do....)).

It's time to compete, in a "we're all friends together" sort of way with the other Coventry City websites, and my quality offerings can be found at: Cov City 'Til I Die Website!
