Having had his contract with Coventry City terminated just before the transfer window closed, Gary McSheffrey has signed for Chesterfield.

The player, deemed surplus to requirements by Stephen Pressley, signed a four-month contract for the League Two club, and begins his career with them as a substitute.

His Coventry City stat's, according to 'soccerbase', are: played 230 (Plus 51 as a substitute), scoring 72 goals.

Managed only two goals (Scored in consecutive matches) in a massively disappointing League One season last year, picking up far more yellow cards (Seven).
