Coventry Pick Up First (Glass) Trophy Of The Season

Coventry City's superb victory over promotion hopefuls Bristol City saw them win the 'LMA Performance Of The Week Award'.

The 5-4 thriller, where the (Sort of) home side gave up a 3-0 lead, saw Coventry City pick up their first points of the season - which most publications seem to have made out was a long-time coming, though was actually only the second league game in.

Youngsters Callum Wilson and Billy Daniels grabbed a brace each, with Leon Clarke scoring the opener from the penalty spot.

congrats on the win and the LMA accolade. With all the financial uncertainty, must be a relief to see a competitive team on the field at weekend.

Small victories and all that! Leon Clarke apparently won 'Goal Of The Day' last Saturday - at this rate we'll need a new trophy cabinet! As for our back-to-back wins, I rate the youngsters more than a fair few those that got bombed out. Just need to get past the transfer window with the squad kept pretty much as it is now (Winning twice without Carl Baker could see him sold off!).
