Head-To-Head, Recent Form, Team News, and the Latest Betting Odds, ahead of Saturday's FA Cup fixture between Tottenham and Coventry City.

The two sides have met three times in the FA Cup, with Spurs winning twice, and Coventry City winning once. They have also met five times in the League Cup, with Spurs winning three times, and Coventry City winning twice.

The league record between the two sides reads: played 82, Spurs have won 37, Coventry 23, with 22 matches ending in a draw. Since being relegated from the top flight, Coventry City have played Spurs twice, losing both home fixtures 0-2 and 0-3.

Spurs have won five of the last six fixtures between the sides. Coventry’s only victory in that time saw the entire Spurs back four booked, probably for trying to kick lumps out of Craig Bellamy (Possibly the same fixture that saw Carlton Palmer sent off for his ‘golf swing’ challenge too).

Coventry City did manage to do the double over Tottenham in both the 1992/93 and 1993/4 season. Sadly, said fact is irrelevant. The most goals scored by one side in this fixture is five, in 1919. That is more relevant, as it has a chance of being beaten on January 5^th 2013.

A Coventry City win could see anybody daft enough to back them paying their mortgage off (Presuming they are willing to bet thousands of pounds). A £6,000 outlay could see a £100,000+ mortgage paid off, with enough money left over for a nice holiday too.

The majority of the Spurs squad is on the ‘first scorer’ list, before Roy Donovan and Leon Clarke make it for Coventry City, both at 18/1 …. probably. Oddschecker also has a Roy O’Donovan (As well as Roy Donovan), at 22/1.

For Spurs, Defoe 3/1, Bale 4/1, Adebeyor 15/4, Dempsey 9/2, Mason and Sigurdsson 5/1, Dembele 17/2, Lennon 10/1, etc, etc, etc. James Bailey is 80/1. David McGoldrick is 157/10 with betfair (If any member of their staff can tell me if anybody has backed this, it would be massively appreciated).

Tottenham to score two (And win 2-0, 5/1) or three (Win 3-0, 11/2) sees lower odds than Spurs to just score once (8/1). 0-0 is 18/1, while 1-1 is 12/1. Me thinks the bookies can only see a home win….

Coventry City to win 1-0 is 33/1, 2-0 is 66/1, 2-1 is 40/1, 3-1 is 100/1. 3-2 to CCFC, as per a number of years ago, is 80/1. Not going to happen.

Half-time/full-time bets are: Spurs/Spurs 1/2, Coventry/Spurs 22/1, Spurs/Coventry 66/1. Under two goals throughout the 90 minutes is 5/1 with betfair, over three goals is as little as 11/10. To almost quote the Kaiser Chiefs: ‘They Predict A Rout’.

Anybody backing Coventry City (17/1 to win), Watford (Away to Manchester City, also 17/1 to win), and Burton (Away to Leicester, and a mere 11/1 to win) could have worked their last ever day too. All irrelevant as none of them will win. Except Burton.
