Taunted by Shrewsbury supporters? Yet another lowest point in this season of new lows, with Coventry City hammered by Shrewsbury.

If this is as good as Richard Shaw can do as manager, then he hopefully isn’t one of the three names on the short-list. He really can’t be, can he? (Dear SISU, this is the point that you lose me if he gets the job).

Six-hundred Coventry supporters made the journey down, six-hundred people deserve a refund, and an apology.

A silly, unexplained error by Joe Murphy – this being the player that said we needed to cut out such errors after last Saturday’s defeat – gave the home side the lead within three minutes, Jones being the scorer.

(Murphy also stated that a new manager will change things …. in a perfect world, that will include the keeper.)

A decent enough free-kick gave the home side a 2-0 lead, with Parry scoring their second, and at that point the referee might as well have ended the game there and then. This was garbage.

Shaw made a double substitution at the break, bringing Daniels and Fleck on for Baker and Barton (While McDonald stayed on the bench), but it changed little.

Richards scored a third for Shrewsbury, and Morgan a fourth, before Coventry City finally won a corner, 21 minutes into the second half. Either side of the third and fourth goals McSheffrey replaced Kilbane.

McSheffrey won a penalty for the away side, and the chance of a consolation goal, which Fleck duly took (On 75 minutes).
