It's looking unlikely that the hinges on the 'exit' and 'entrance' doors will need oiling at the Ricoh this January, as the current squad, with possibly one or two players leaving for pastures new, given the job of getting us a Top 6 finish. Oh dear....

Kieran Westwood has been linked with a move to Wigan - a rumour that could gather pace after Chris Kirkland was once again stretchered off the pitch last night, in a fixture versus Bolton. Such a move could see him playing against Coventry City next season. 

On the same day(ish) that Lee Carsley stated he wants to be part of a promotion winning team, he has been linked with the vacant managerial position at Walsall - who are currently 24th out of 24 in League One (Sixteen points off sixth place). If Coventry City don't improve, and Walsall do, such a move .... etc. 

Carl Baker, who can't get into Coventry City's first team ahead of David Bell, is supposed to be interesting Birmingham. 

As for players coming in, boss Aidy Boothroyd has stated that the players likely to come in during the transfer window are probably already in the squad. I'm guessing conversations about finances with chairman Ray Ranson didn't go too well then.... 

Colchester's Marc Tierney has once again been linked with Coventry City, amongst other Championship sides, while Graeme Dorrans of WBA was also a name rumoured to be interesting the club, though the fact he played for 90 minutes against Manchester United last weekend would suggest this probably isn't the case.
