Next Season's Fixtures Released

Coventry's City's quest for promotion begins with a home fixture against a newly relegated side, and ends with a fixture against a newly promoted side....

Coventry's first - though hopefully not last! - fixture in this seasons League Cup is away at League Two Morecambe (On Tuesday August 10th), a side who, according to soccerbase.com, we have never played.

The first league fixture of the season is at home to newly relegated Portsmouth (On Saturday August 7th), while the first away fixture, a week later, is at Aidy Boothroyd's former club Watford.

The fixture against Portsmouth sees the manager heavily rumoured to have been taking over at The Ricoh, Steve Cotterill, coming here and sitting in the opposition dug-out instead.

Boxing day sees an away trip to Cardiff, while New Years Day sees Ipswich visit The Ricoh.

The season ends with an away fixture at Norwich. Here's hoping we don't need to win it to gain promotion....
