There cannot be another team in football as infuriating as Coventry City!

Only Coventry City could win through to face a glamourous F.A. Cup tie against Chelsea, then not bother to turn up! Failure to perform against Chelsea not only meant we missed out on an unlikely trip to Wembley, but we also won't see the extra 10,000 supporters that turned up for said fixture until the next time we have any sort of success.

And only Coventry City could beat the sides first and second in the table, then fail to take a point from the next three games (Albeit three tricky fixtures). Failure to take any of the last nine points on offer means that the late run towards the play-off places, and the potential success that could see the missing 10,000 continue to visit the Ricoh, won't be happening.

Annoyingly we haven't necessarily been beaten by better sides in the Championship recently, the team have beaten themselves by once again pressing the self-destruct button. Yes, we have a very young defence, but they need to stop being so naive, and making such basic errors, if they don't want to continue learning their trade from League One.

It's probably only a coincidence that the dip in form has happened since Dan Fox limped out versus Sheffield United, but if this is what happens when he's out of the side, it seems more important than ever that we hold onto him over the summer. Defensively he's solid, while his contribution in the opposition half of the pitch continues to impress too. His goal against Norwich, which saw us record our last victory, was absolutely top class.

If things don't improve at the back, it can only be a matter of time before the seemingly out-of-favour Elliott Ward earns a re-call. He's no more prone to making errors than Turner and Dann, and adds a bit of muscle to the back four. I doubt Ward would have let Drogba brush him off with such ease for Chelsea's first goal.

Despite the job Mr. Ranson and Mr. Coleman have done, when the manager and a few of the players claimed we could still make the top six this season (Before the Sheffield United match), I didn't hear many supporters buying into that opinion. We've had so many disappointments, so many false dawns, the majority probably believe the Championship is as good as it's going to get for us.

With Coventry City now closer to the bottom three again, rather than the top six, those last three defeats should have finally put paid to such nonsensical talk for another season. And with so many unlikely victories by the teams below us in the table recently, should that continue, we could be in real trouble (We are now a mere six points off 22nd place!). Yes, we have games in hand, but we have to win them!

Looking for positives from the last few weeks, Aron Gunnarsson's popularity amongst Coventry City supporters continues to rise! As well as sitting in the Coventry City section for the away fixture at Bristol City, it seems, according to the pages of FaceBook, that he had his photograph taken with every single supporter that made the journey!
