Our Potential Next Opponents Are....

....Chelsea! And for that we have to thank Graeme Souness! But first of all there's the little matter of beating Blackburn in the replay.

Should we overcome Blackburn, a quarter final tie at the Ricoh against Chelsea would surely see those missing Coventry City supporters come out of the woodwork, and go some way to a record attendance, and record gate receipts?

According to Blackburn's official website, tickets for Tuesday weeks replay (Kick-off at 7.45) are a slightly disappointing £20 for adults, and £10 for concessions. Despite that price, a decent turn-out should still be expected.

A Coventry victory over Sam Allardyce's side would mean the postponement of the Maltese Mis-fires return to the Ricoh Arena, presuming there is no clause to stop him from playing against us.

I don't think Misfit can play because he's only on loan and I'm sure there's a rule saying you can't play against a parent club.

Here to help (Sm14)

Chelsea in the next round - another amazing incentive to make sure we beat Blackburn and an almost certain sell-out

I think that makes it 1-1 on 'here to helps'.... (Sm100)

I don't really want to think about playing Chelsea before the Blackburn game is out of the way, but it's the best chance we'll get 'til our return to the top flight as far as getting our first full house is concerned.

I'm trying not to get ahead of ourselves - Blackburn are still a very good team but I think the Chelsea draw would be a much bigger incentive for us than them and might just help the team and fans give that extra little bit in the replay

I think that Blackburn will take us a little bit more seriously in the replay and it will be a difficult game. First though we have to get a team together to face Burnley away on Tuesday and try and move up the table.
