Michael Mifsud might be leaving, Kevin Kyle has left, and while no replacement would be better than still owning said players, their replacements, and potential replacements, definitely seem like an improvement to the squad!

Out-goings: Michael Mifsud is close to leaving Coventry City - hurrah! - but the cheeky little bar-steward wants severance pay - boo! (Fairly sure he put in a transfer request, which means he's entitled to sweet F.A.). He's already blown two possible moves through his (Alleged) greed, so let's hope his common sense level is better than his 'goals for' level over the last 12 months, and he just agrees to fuc .... leave. Rumour has it that talks will start again with Barnsley on Monday, which doesn't give Coventry City much chance to persuade him that he might as well just fuc .... leave now, because he's not getting anything. Know doubt he will become a superstar for them should he sign (Though I'm sure his talent will never be as big as his ego), but he's been garbage for us since January 2008, so it's time for somebody that actually wants to wear the shirt to take his place.

Speaking of the unwanted, Kevin Kyle, has finally, really, left the building! Possibly one of the worst players to ever wear the Sky Blue shirt of Coventry City, who despite certain opinion WASN'T hated from day one (Because he scored on day one), has signed for Kilmarnock, on an 18-month contract. He claims he has received better offers as far as wages are concerned, but just wants to play football (If he manages it, can somebody from Kilmarnock please send me the DVD?). Said move means he might just link up with Donovan Simmonds, currently on loan to the Rugby Park side from Coventry City.

Possible Out-goings: Sky Sports News has reported that Newcastle are interested in left-back Dan Fox, but unless the offer is over £5 million, plus super-crock Michael Owen (With Newcastle continuing to pay his astronomical wage), they can f-off.

Incoming: Last summers transfer target David Bell has finally joined Coventry City, after a six month spell with Norwich. Said signing means Coventry City now have a real winger amongst the squad. Woo! Hoo! (And should his crosses bring out the best in Freddie Eastwood, Woo! Hoo! again!). He has signed a three-and-a-half year deal. Please don't play him at right-back, CC.

Temporary Incoming: Sunderland's Jordan Henderson has joined Coventry City on a 28-day loan (Until February 25th), as has Chelsea's 19-year-old central midfielder Lee Sawyer. Sawyer hopes to impress enough to have his loan extended, as does Henderson. As do all Coventry City supporters.

Possible Incoming: Threats to strike, and the fact Livingstone players supposedly haven't been paid for a while, means that James McPake might actually link up with Coventry City now, rather than in the summer - with his transfer fee going towards paying the missing wages! He is expected to sign a three-and-a-half year deal. Coventry City have also bid £1 million for Hearts winger Andrew Driver. Hearts are supposedly after more money or a cash plus player swap deal. Will Michael Mifsud do? (I'll drive him). You could have had Borrowdale and Kyle too if you had asked a few days/weeks ago...

Not coming: Sunil Chettri's two week trial has ended .... after less than a week! Despite the prospect of an extra 100,000 supporters, Chris Coleman has decided he's not up to the necessary standard (Seeing as Michael Mifsud has seemingly been of good enough quality over the last 12 months, just how bad was he??). With Chris Coleman quoted as saying: 'we are having a look at each other but I wouldn't get to excited about it' before the trial started, it's of little surprise that the I-League player didn't make the grade. And Johann Berg Gudmundsson has signed for Dutch club AZ Alkmaar in a five-year deal. His loss, not ours....

I Haven't A Clue Deals: Defender Guido Lanzaat, a target for Coventry City last summer, was last week only international clearance away from becoming a further addition to the squad .... but seems to have fallen off the radar this week. Having impressed far more than he was expected to, and despite never having seen him play(!), I hope he gets the four-month contract said to be on offer .... and impresses enough to land a full contract, helps us gain promotion, then gets sold to Real Madrid for £15 million (If he really has to leave).

Comedy transfer news: Gary Borrowdale, recently signed by QPR from Coventry, for a fee believed to be around £500,000, is reportedly off to Southend on loan, with a view to a £125,000 move in the summer!
