Despite being watched by Reading at the weekend, Steve Coppell's side have still decided to buy Jay Tabb from Coventry City for an 'undisclosed fee'.
Tabb had been offered a new contract by Coventry, but, more than likely after almost ending up back in the third tier of English football last season following Coventry City's 'seat of the pants last day survival', has decided to join a side who look as if they might go the other way this. Whether or not he would get a game if they reach the Premiership is another matter....
Tabb said after the recent QPR match he 'was trying to hide and thinking please don’t put me at right-back' following Wright's dismissal, and while I'm sure his comments were said in jest, he has been guilty of going into hiding far to often this season.
With Michael Mifsud doing something fairly similar on the other wing, getting rid of one such player is a bonus, when the second leaves, it will hopefully see a massive improvement to the side. Long live the transfer window!
Thanks for your quality efforts in a poor side last season Jay, thanks for next to nothing this season. You will be missed, but not as much as you should have been....
