Lincoln's reign under the incompetent management of Steve Tilson will hopefully come to an end soon as fans voiced extreme dis-satisfaction after the bunch of cowards who represent our club lost again. The Imps were thrashed 4-0 at Tamworth and like most other games, never even looked like threatening the scoreboard.

The hosts almost took the lead quickly as Bradley’s cross goal shot went just wide before Fuseini and McCallum showed why neither of them were wanted by other clubs in the transfer window, messing about with a corner that didn’t get beyond three yards from the corner flag. McCallum had a wayward effort deflected into the hands of Hedges.

Smith headed a Nicolau effort well wide of the target but it wasn’t long before the frailties showed against as Danny Hone failed to track St Aimie and when the striker was played through, Hone’s lack of anticipation saw him through one-on-one with Anyon. He rounded the City goalkeeper and slotted into the net.

Sinclair hit an effort well over  the net from distance before getting into a fight with Ashley Cain, who had regularly been beating him throughout the afternoon. Christie wasted a good chance for the hosts as his effort went well wide of the target before Sam Smith failed to make the most of a one-on-one, proving he is one footed as he wouldn’t shoot with his left foot and being dispossessed by Francis for the hosts.

Hedge claimed a City corner unchallenged before Christie and Watts went for a ball, Watts’ foot was high but Christie waited a good two/three seconds after losing the ball before claiming he was injured.....despite being perfectly fine before that. Tait was booked for a foul on McCallum.

Hone headed wide at the beginning of the second half before Sinclair fouled Christie before Shariff was booked for the hosts after fouling Nutter.

Nicolau headed a McCallum cross at Hedge and from the resulting counter attack Tamworth won a penalty. St Aimie ran past four City defenders without so much as a challenge before being fouled by Sinclair, it was the defender’s second yellow and he was given his marching orders. Christie did his usual act of scoring past the Imps to make it 2-0.

Arnaud made his debut soon afterwards, replacing Nicolau but the change didn’t help as it was quickly 3-0. An unchallenged corner was met by the head of Francis and it sailed into the net.

Paul Green was booked for fouling Fuseini before Kyle Perry received a warm reception from the home fans as he replaced McCallum. It wasn’t long before City were given their chance to thank Paul Green for four years of service as he left the field to be substituted. Green was applauded and chanting by City fans, whereas his replacement, Patrick Kanyuka, was heavily booed due to his contribution to City’s relegation last year....mainly the 6-0 home defeat to Rotherham in which he was responsible for four of Rotherham’s five goals before getting sent off.

The game was heading to it’s inevitable end before Daniel Bradley skipped past several half-arsed challenges to pass to St Aimie and he in turn made it 4-0.

Smith was booked to end the match.

Hopefully the only way is Essex after another spineless loss
