Lincoln City have announced two new signings, former Gillingham defensive duo John Nutter and Tony Sinclair. Both played for the Gills last season and are the latest to sign up to Tilson's plans for next season, following on from Alan Power, Sam Smith, Jamie Taylor, Kyle Perry and Francis Laurent.
Tony Sinclair will be the man who City fans will know as denying Drewe Broughton's only goal for the Imps. The Imps had made the trip south at the beginning of last season and a long punt in the last minute provided Drewe's chance. He went up for a header with goalkeeper Alan Julian, beating him and the ball trickled towards goal and just as it was about to cross the line, along comes Sinclair with a sliding kick to deny the goal. He has also played for Beckenham, Woking, Fisher and and Welling during his career.
The other man is John Nutter, who joins the Imps on a two year deal. The experienced defender played more than 150 times for the Kent club after joining them from Stevenage. He has also played for Blackburn, Aldershot and Wycombe during his career.
