Lincoln City are starting to sign players on a regular basis ahead of the new season after two former Rushden and Diamonds players joined on Wednesday morning. Midfielder Alan Power and striker Sam Smith have both joined on one year deals.
Irishman Alan Power joins the Imps after being released by Rushden at the end of last season. The former Nottingham Forest and Hartlepool man was Rushden's Players' Player of the Year last season and only left the club because of the crippling financial situation.
He is joined at Sincil Bank by 21 year old striker Sam Smith. A product of Rushden's youth system, Smith has been in and out of Rushden's first team for three seasons has also played for Corby and Hinckley on loan.
