Broughton scores on AFC Wimbledon debut

Drewe Broughton did in one game for Wimbledon what he hasn't done in 27 for the Imps, score a goal. The striker joined Wimbledon on loan from City on Friday and make a scoring debut at Tamworth.

Wimbledon comfortably won the game 5-2 to increase their lead at the top of the Blue Square Premier. Broughton first arrived at Sincil Bank a year ago but in 27 appearances has never found the net, something he managed after the 75th minute of Wimbledon's game against Tamworth, making it 3-2 at the time and it actually turned out to be the winning goal for the Dons.

With his contract up at the end of the season, Broughton is unlikely to play for the Imps again.

Reports say that it was from 30 yards into an empty net.
