After three months as Lincoln City manager, Steve Tilson has made his first permanent signing in the form of former Swindon, QPR and Northampton defender Patrick Kanyuka. The 6'4 man has spent the last few years in Romania.

Firstly, my apologies about the strange choice of picture on the right, it was the only one available on the Football Network system that showed him prodominantly.

Kanyuka has spent his recent years in the emerging Romanian league, playing his football for Cluj and Unirea Alba Iulia. He had been there has been there since the latter part of 2008, having only spent three months at Northampton.

His career also sees appearances for Swindon and QPR under his belt.

The Imps have found the net relatively easily recently but are still leaking goals, that despite improved defensive displays in recent weeks and the improved Adam Watts and Danny Hone forming a decent partnership. The 6'4 Kanyuka also adds head to a back line the is of general average height.

City are currently waiting on international clearance for the defender and it is currently unknown whether he will be ready to play agianst Port Vale at the weekend. He will be squad number 40 when he does eventually get clearance and he will be an Imp until the end of the season.

This could also spell the end for some of the club's other defenders, namely Moses Swaibu, who's poor performances on the pitch and alledged antics off it haven't inspired confidence.

Not saying much, Jam. Let's face it, Swaibu is at least 4th choice now out of all the players that only play centre back.
