Stockport beat Barnet to give City another let off

Lincoln City have been given a been given yet another lucky break as Stockport County beat Barnet. The win for Stockport means that despite not playing in the league since November 23rd, the Imps are still outside of the relegation zone and now have three games in hand over 23rd placed Barnet.

City have been stuck on just 19 points since November 20th, but despite everyone around us playing on a semi-regular basis, neither Barnet or Hereford did enough to overtake the Imps and now means that the Imps are still outside of the relegation zone, but vitally have a three games in hand over 23rd placed Barnet.

Lincoln's game against Shrewsbury was postponed on Tuesday afternoon and the fixture between Barnet and Stockport meant that only a Hatters win would guarantee Lincoln wouldn't enter the New Year in the bottom two of the division. Stockport duly delivered with a comfortable 3-1 win at Underhill.

Meanwhile, Bradford City lost 4-0 at Cheltenham and they are Lincoln's next opponents, that is until the game is postponed.
