Sutton leaves Sincil Bank after exactly 1 year

Chris Sutton has quit Lincoln City exactly a year after being confirmed as the manager of the football club. Sutton was appointed on September 28th last year and tendered his resignation just minutes after last night's home draw with Burton Albion.
Sutton's 51st and final game in charge of this football club came last night in a frustrating draw (due to the referee) with Burton Albion. It means that Sutton has left Sincil Bank with a record of just 14 victories in 51 games in charge of this football club.
The former Premiership winger took over from Peter Jackson last September, taking over with the club 22nd in League Two. City briefly improved with two back to back wins over Aldershot and Macclesfield, one of only two occasions that we won back to back games under Sutton. Infact, City never got above the relegation battle and only secured Football League status with 2 weeks to go.
He was always a surprise appointment given that he had no coaching or management experience, but even though I don't personally rate him, I wish Chris all the best for the future.

Good luck for the future and I hope he does go on and prove to be a good manager but he wasn't for here.

Thats really confusing as they don't get a wage so how would they think of their pocket?
It does worry me that he has gone this early though. He obviously thought that whatever he did it wasn't going to work. Whether that is down to the quality of players he could attract within budget, or simply the fact that he wasn't cut out for it, we may never know.
This leaves us in a dire position.
