Another ex-Imp on trial at Bury

Former midfielder Shane Clarke has joined Bury on trial. He featured in their midweek reserves defeat to Oldham and will be hoping to secure a permanent deal there, joining Lenell John-Lewis who joined the Shakers in the summer.

Clarke came through City's youth system, captaining the reserve side that won the Reserves League Cup in the 2006/7 season, he made his first team debut the following season and went on to become a semi regular in the first team, getting his best run in the first team under Chris Sutton.

Despite being someone who always tried, Clarke wasn't good enough and left by mutual consent in August. Many expected he would disappear into the non-League, but John-Lewis convinced Alan Knill (Bury manager) to give him a trial at Gigg Lane. He played in a midweek game at Oldham for the reserves, a reserves side that featured three ex-Imps.

YES SHANE. If Bury sign him, i will officially have a soft spot for Bury.
