I've been saying it for months that England weren't good enough to win the World Cup and that there were numerous better teams involved, including Germany.....I hate being right sometimes. I suppose that's what you get for relying on a striker that quite clearly didn't care throughout the entire tournament, defenders who can't defend and a midfield that can't keep the ball.

The writing has been on the wall for the months about England and the arrogance of some fans, who just expected to beat a Germany side who've made the semi finals in three of the last four international tournaments, combined with the efforts (used in the loosest term possible) of the players, it was never going to happen.

Although the media will focus on the Frank Lampard goal not being given, it would have been an undeserved equaliser for an England squad that had not only struggled up until that point, but struggles anytime it faces anyone half decent. It's all well and good beating Egypt, Japan and other small nations in a warm up, but you're going to face far better teams than that during the tournament, so why not play one of them instead?

The commentators were arrogantly saying that looking at the two sides, you wouldn't swap that many players, yep, I bet Germany wouldn't take a single one of England's Three Kittens at the moment. You'd have Klose over Rooney in a World Cup, infact, there wasn't one German player who was worse than their England equivalent.

Relying on Wayne Rooney is a mistake. He rarely turns up for the big games, even for Man United, and out of all four strikers he did the least, that includes Peter Crouch who only played about 20 minutes. Much like England the team, Rooney does well against the really poor teams, but whenever he's put in a pressure situation then he's shown for the distinctively average player he is. Calling him World-Class and putting him in the same class as Villa, Torres, Fabiano, Messi, Forlan, Higuain and many others, is an insult to all of those players.

Then again, Rooney isn't the only one. The midfield constantly gave the ball away and the attitude of Lampard and Gerrard to shoot on site was the reason why a lot of our attacks were killed dead, whereas Gareth Barry's touch near enough went to a German man every time.

Infact, you know what, I'm simply going to stop this here. The quicker this nation realises that there are about 4 teams capable of winning the World Cup, and England are some way off that standard, the better. You look at the teams that are capable, Brazil, Spain, Germany and Argentina, all of whom are BETTER than England. There is not one player in the England squad who is the best in their position in the World Cup.

It's taken me about five minutes to write this article, that's more work than certain members of the squad did during the last four games combined.

Well small nations like Japan are still in the tournament.
