City's preparations for next season will see them make three trips to London in the space of 10 days in July. The Imps will travel to non-League trio Staines, Walton Casuals and Bishop Stortford. It means that other than at Sincil Bank, City fans will have to travel over 100 miles to get to the nearest friendly in the summer.
City's pre-season so far contains two home games against Norwich and a Celtic XI, as well as a trip in the Lincolnshire Senior Cup (which makes the JP Trophy look like the Champions League, that's just how mickey mouse it is), but now the Imps travel to the capital thrice in the space of 10 days.
It will start on July 10th at Staines, Walton Casuals will host City a week later before a trip to Bishops Stortford on the 20th.
I think Sutton's seen that we've played the same teams year after year in pre-season and realised that you don't learn anything if you're playing the same teams all of the time.
Don't think I'll bother with any of the friendlies.
Its July and its the cricket I'd rather watch that if I watch any sport.
I'll wait til August for my football, especially as the world cup starts any day.
