The Match 4 will take place on Saturday between 1pm and 4pm at Yarborough Leisure Centre. With more teams competing than ever before, it promises to be the fiercest competition yet.
The Match 4 has seen 8 teams enter with them falling into two groups of four. Group A consists of Nissionpastas, Welton Imps, Vodafone and Matalan and Diamonds Legends, whereas Group B consists of Holme Boyz, Matalan and Diamonds Present, Waddo Imps and Wilson Mondo.
Each match in the group stage will last 15 minutes games will be played immediately after each other. Each team will play each other team in their group once, and at the end of the six matches, the top two teams will go through to the semi finals, with the winners of the groups facing the team that finished as the runner up in the other group.
We would ask all teams to be at Yarborough Leisure Centre's astro turf by 12:45pm at the latest and your team will have to pay £20 before your team can play their first game. Failure for your team paying will result in your team not being allowed to take part. No exceptions! No team has paid yet, so don't even attempt to claim you already have done.
If you're going to be late, please let me know. All team captains have my phone number, it's more of a courtesy thing.
Please see the timetable below to see when you are playing.

TOURNAMENT RULES
Teams will consist of a minimum of seven players (one goalkeeper, the other six outpitch). you can have as many subs as you want, but please see the next rule.
Every member of every team must play in each game. Those that start as substitute MUST play at least five minutes. There will be someone timing every game and they will keeping their eye on whom the subs are and at what point they come on. Failure for your sub to come on and get at least five minutes will result in your team being docked 1 point. They pay the same as everyone else on the team so they should get the same opportunity to play.
Goalkeepers can come out of their area, but obviously can't handle once beyond the boundary.
You can kick the ball overhead height.
When the ball goes out for a throw-in, you can either kick or throw it. If you kick it the ball MUST be still before you make contact.
If the ball is kicked over then that player MUST go and get the ball IMMEDIATELY. Failure to do so will see that person banned for that team's next two matches. If it is the goalkeeper who hits it out then any member of the team can get it. Please note that in all cases, another ball will be used and the game will continue, so if you're wasting time getting the ball then it's your team that suffers. Also, in this situation you can not bring your substitute on in your place whilst you get the ball.
Although all games will be self-refereeing, both teams must agree on a specific neutral person to make any decisions on things such as penalties.
If two teams are tied on points after the group stages, they will be separated by goal difference, goals scored and the result against each other (in that order). If they are perfectly equal then a penalty shoot out will be used to decide who goes through. If a draw is the result in the knock-out stages then a shoot out will be used. All shoot outs will be best of 5.
When I am doing the final tables, you will have the opportunity to go and get drinks. After a certain individual trying to pressurise me into changing the table so they faced different semi-final opponents last year, no-one will be allowed to be around me whilst I am calculating the tables.
If there are any fights, all teams involved with automatically be deducted three points and all players involved sent off, those players will be able to play in the next game though. If a fight occurs in the knockout stage then all players involved will be banned for the rest of the tournament.
