Dagenham break record in Playoffs

24 hours after Rotherham secured a first leg win over Aldershot, Dagenham and Redbridge broke a record with a thumping 6-0 first leg win over Morecambe. It is a record win in a Playoff game and only an stupidly optimistic Morecambe fan would say that they still have a chance of going through.

Benson opened the scoring early on before Scott doubled the lead ten minutes from half time. Scott scored twice more in the opening ten minutes of the second half before Benson and Scott again made it 6-0. The victory of that scales means that there is virtually no chance of not seeing Dagenham and Redbridge at Wembley in a few weeks.

Rotherham United had secured a 1-0 win at Aldershot on Saturday afternoon.
