The single word title tells it own story as the Imps finally secured their League Two status for another season. Despite being second best for the majority of the match, the Imps secured the points through Somma's goal just over ten minutes from time......City's only realistic chance on target.

Somma has single-handedly saved the Imps since joining on loan. No striker in the club's recent history has had such an immediate impact and his arrival has single-handedly turned City's form around. However, it appeared for most of the game that he would be increasingly frustrated as Efe Sodje kept him quiet for quite some time afterwards.

It was a game dominated by the visitors but they weren't really making their dominance count as City restricted them to one or two long range strikers. City weren't much better even and only a wild Saunders effort heading over the net saw City have a shot in anger. In all fairness there were no talking points in the first half.

The second half wasn't much different with Bury dominating the play but not really getting anywhere near City's goal. City hadn't even managed a shot in the second half before Gilmour was replaced by LJL. It was at this point that the attacking from both sides started and City had shouts for a penalty when Somma went down under a challenge from Sodje, but the officials gave Bury a free kick for Somma handling the ball on his way down.

Lennon ran through a crowd of players before blasting wide and again, although Bury had the majority of the ball, they weren't getting many shots in on goal and Burch could have just been sat on a deck-chair as the few shots they did get on goal were straight at him.

It appeared as though a draw was coming but then Keltie played a ball over the top and Somma ran onto it and slotted it home. It was the second home game in a row where Keltie had supplied Somma with the winning goal.

Bury tried to put on the pressure but again couldn't force Burch into a save and the goalkeeper held on for his first clean sheet since December 5th.
