Ex-Imp put in charge of Grimsby's "Recruitment Department"

Ex Lincoln City Director of Football, John Deehan, has joined the staff at Grimsby Town with the official job role of "Head of Recruitment".....basically a glorified scout.

Deehan was at the club between July 2006 and October 2007, being John Schofield's director of football. It was widely rumoured he was the person responsible for the run that saw the Imps ascend to the top of League Two (and then quickly descend) before he and Schofield left in October 2007.

John Deehan's job role has been described as "To go out and watch players." Apparantly Grimsby Town have never heard of the job role commonly known as a "scout".
