Lincoln City will now face seven games in twenty-one days after the games at Hereford and Darlington were re-arranged for corresponding Tuesday evenings. That followed the news that the Burton game has again been re-arranged.....there's a lot of driving to be had.
City's game at Burton was re-arranged due to the nearby FA Cup replay at Derby County, that game will now come on the Wednesday following the game against Bradford on the 23rd. That is quickly followed by a home game against Dagenham and Redbridge.
Three away games in the space of seven days follow, with the rearranged games against Hereford and Darlington being arranged for the 2nd and 9th of February respectively. They sandwich a local derby at Chesterfield.
It now means that City will have an excellent chance to quickly pull away from the drop zone, although it will mean by the end that assuming neither us or Grimsby have any games called off between now and then, that we will not only use up both our games in hand, but also end up with the Mariners having one in hand over us.
