In recent times Exeter have had the upper hand over Rotherham, winning three of the last four encounters and it is over three years since Roth last returned from Devon with a victory. However Roth will take heart from their 17-10 victory over Exeter at the beginning of last month.

Commenting on the ¼ final draw Head Coach Andre Bester said, “Cup matches are win matches; anything can happen in a cup match. At this stage there are no easy games, look at London Welsh for example, they played brilliant yesterday to beat Coventry.

On any given day in a cup match anyone can beat anyone, we’ve seen that in the past and it’s what happens on the day that is important.

Exeter are a very good side, but to be honest it doesn’t really matter who we play because it’s a job that has to be done. We’ll go down there with just one objective and that’s to get the win.

But all I’m concerned about at the moment is getting the squad prepared for the London Welsh game at the weekend. That’s the most important thing at the moment. The cup is important to us, but our bread and butter is the league and we must not loose our focus on that.”
